This Literature guide has been prepared to meet requirements of the secondary school english language syllabus. it is based on two books, namely Is it possible a novel authored by HR Orel Kullet published by Hinemann Kenya ltd and Song of Lawino and Sonf of Ocol poems written by Okot P'Bitek.
The main purposes of this guide are:
To assist and prepare students of form 3 and 4 to understand "readings" for their final examinations.
To create discussion, speech, dialogue, dramatization and debate on various questions or issues which affect communities in East Africa

Students are, hereby notified that in order to achieve the above goals, it is obligatory to read the books first. This will enablethem to understand them and form their own opinions about the books. Cramming what is contained in this guide is, however, meaningless and should be avoided. Note that any examination asks the candidate to select concepts, or facts from the book one has read.
The ideas and suggestions contained in this guide are for leading discussions, hoping that every reader will form his or her own opinion.
