Justin Bake is a Tanzanian. He is a teacher, writer, poet and songwriter.
He has many books in all disciplines, including Philosophy of the
Mind. He is a seasoned linguist who has taught Kiswahili and English
languages for 25 years in public schools. After a long classroom
experience, he went to the Saint Augustine University of Tanzania,
where he specialized in Kiswahili and French for his Bachelor of
Education degree. Among his books he has written are 9 dictionaries,
one of which being a trilingual English- French-Kiswahili dictionary. His
academic career has been comprehensive, wide and diverse. In 2010
he was hired by the Institute of Kiswahili Studies of the University
of Dar es Salaam to include phonetic symbols pronunciation in the
TUKI English-Kiswahili dictionary; a job which he accomplished
outstandingly and received a letter of appreciation from the TATAKI
management.
